Creating Graphs in Excel

As the first tutorial on this site I though we would start with something simple. Recently I was asked to build a graph and I though about building it from scratch in some paint program. Not the best idea right?

Then I looked at purchasing a graph building program. Then I remembered someone, way back when, had mentioned “Excel” and how I could use it to build a simple graph. Common knowledge for many, but there are folks I’ve talked to who used “Excel” for spread sheets, yet have no idea there’s a graphing component!
