Often businesses owners believe that if they have a website they will increase sales. Their thinking is that if they have a website they will be found on the internet and the cash will come pouring in.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Those days are long gone where you build a site and boom you’ve created a buzz.

Some might say registering with Google will get your site found. Yes it is possible but there is a lot of work involved and even then there are no guaranties. The reason for building a website is for your customers.

The way the search engines are set up is to put popular sites at the top of the ranking along with other sites that have links from these popular sites (the links should be from sites with similar content), and for those who don’t know by now, the system is all automated.

There are no humans at Google picking and choosing who should be ranked #1 so don’t email and bitch that your companie's site doesn't have a better ranking.
